Here is my rendition of the Daylily. I did mine in oils and the canvas is probably half the size Nolan used. I did not follow the class completely, I only watched here and there.
Photo not the best quality, took it with my phone.
I am not happy with my end result, but as I do struggle with perfectionism I decided to just leave it alone and let it be ( very hard for me).

You have really improved a lot lately
I think what is bothering you is the background. It is lighter than mine so you don't have as much of a dramatic effect with the contrast between background and flower
