I did this painting for a friend.... Gracie was very sick but has since recovered fully!!

John,

This painting of Gracie is so well done.  Nice fur, eyes, ears.

Look closely at the spot to the right of the nose.  Check it with the reference photo.  I think yours needs to be lightened in value.

Otherwise, WOW.

Tweak the nose, and you have a winner.  Your friend will be very glad with this painting.  Great job.
