Nice job Patricia!
I might tweak some on mine later---those soldiers in a row.
Great class Dennis-much appreciated!

Natalie. I am unable to see your painting. I don't know what is going on but I could not see Aniz's either and now yours too but thanks for your comments.

Nice work Patricia, this looks to be a pretty busy lesson, lots of details!

theBryce, Denise and Steven for your welcomed comments. Well, this was the most interesting lesson with (new to me) techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and was sad when it came to an end for I was so focussed.
Denise, you will LOVE this lesson and I can highly recommend it.
Steven, I didn't find it overwhelmingly busy because I was so focussed (a form of escapism I expect where I feel as though I am in another dimension) and was actually shocked when it came to an end for I was jolted back into real time!!! lol!!!
So for everyone who may be sitting on the fence not knowing whether to tackle this lesson or not, I say "go for it".

I have no idea why it doesn't show for you Patricia-I posted it the way I have since I joined and I have made no changes to my account.

You should be able to see it now. Just spent the last 10 minutes fixing it.

Thank you Natalie, I am now able to see your wonderful painting of the Rhino. A great job. Your colours are much more dramatic which lends itself beautifully to the scene. Lovely, lovely painting.

for your lovely message Fiona and I can guarantee that if you sign up for this lesson, you won't be sorry as it was an awesome lesson. Would love to see you do it in pastels for your pastel work is outstanding.

Well the only one I see is Natalie's. I like the colors Natalie. What bothers me is the large horn. It looks like it is on the side of the head. Or maybe it is the nostrils are not right. But I like the background.

Both these 2 painting's techniques are excellent
Both still need to look at my painting again.
Patricia
, you are missing indication of the front leg on the left. Also compare, against the actual photograph, the position of the horn, the mouth and there is too much of a "valley" or "cut in" from the mouth to the jawbone.
Natalie
, You have the same problem with the horn. It's all a matter of shading. Look at the shape at the base of the horn.
Fix the base of the horn, and both paintings will POP.
