It is not possible to upload the lesson immediately because of the size (2hrs + of video) which first has to be uploaded to the computer and then edited - which also takes time. Then it has to be uploaded to the internet. This is just a very simplified version of what happens after the online lesson. All in all it can take anything from 2 -3 days (assuming no interruptions) before it is available for viewing.

Thanks Dennis for the clarification. I was just kind of worried because I had alot of errors on this site all day yesterday and today and saw not a single new post anywhere...till finally Mary replied back to a PM (I couldn't send that either till about half hour ago). Things seem to suddenly start working again. Was anyone else having this??
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

There are times when the site periodically goes quiet - but that is just a natural occurrence because of the time zones.

Just tell Nolan to ignore any emails I sent. I had alot of errors earlier, but they disappeared on their own.

Background looks good Mary. I'm looking forward to blocking mine in.

Nolan...you know...that did cross my mind about the possiblity of that uploading going on.

Pat, I couldn't respond to your PMs either.  Nolan was uploading the videos (thank you Nolan) which had a side effect of bogging down the server.  You should be okay now.

Finally got my backgrounds in. I'm not sure about weather I over did it on the fingerpainting bit. I'll have to go back and check the video up close. Also, I might have blended the darker green just a hair too much...but maybe not. If so, I might still go back and just mix up some Ultramarine and a touch of Alizarin...then just dab that into the already green in a few broad areas tomorrow while it's still wet. Not going to overdo it though.
