Thanks all. It was, as always, a great class, and encourage all to give it a go.

 I wanted to put more color than what the actual flower had - artistic license!

Your painting is much improved with the added color.  I think we all did that one too pale with not enough value and contrast.  I recall mine, it was one of the very first. 

I only understood why it looked so fainted when I took a B&W photo of it.  A trick I have done with many of my subsequent paintings... if it does not look good in B&W, likely could be improved.
