May Lynn,
I think you created "The Perfect Storm," both in the painting and the ensuing Forum dialogue.
Beautiful job. Fun reading the replies.

Great rendition of this painting, May Lynn - and mazel tov on the commission!!! I often re-watch Dennis' videos before painting if there are similarities - it helps enormously! And as soon as I can hobble upstairs with my computer to where my printer is I promise I'll be doing this class too!

No worries Pat. I myself have not been on it as much as usual.

Here's my rendition of the Riding the Storm lesson.
After practicing to paint seascapes, I decided to challenge myself and try this one. I found this free lesson on our new Online art lessons and classes website with just a brief description. It was challenging but on the other hand it allowed me to use my imagination.
I Enjoyed the lesson and the end result.
I grew up near the Black Sea and love motion of the water. I choose Scarlet colour to paint the sails because it symbolizes Hope.
Happy painting, everybody.
Lidiya.

Great wild atmosphere. Good spray
I feel the water could still have a touch of green in it - a bit too blue for a storm

Dennis for your comment on my painting. I am glad that you've viewed and liked it. Actually, I used Viridian for the waves as well. Seems, my scanner didn't show this green component on the picture.
