Many thanks to Happy Chappy and Lynn p for their excellent suggestions. They have given me the incentive to do the larger painting (15" x 20").

This painting has even more meaning to me. I have a problem throwing things out. My wife has been after me for 50 years to throw out our childrens crib. All four of them slept in this crib in turn. My answer is always" some time I'll find a use for it". That time is now as I used a panel from that crib to paint this scene.

Alan,
I like the vibrant colors on this.
The seagull needs some shading as every time I look at it, it seems to be coming from a different direction.
The breaking wave in the center has so much volume - nice depth.
