I had not painted for a while. This lesson seemed a good one to make a new start.

but if you carefully follow in Nolans footsteps, it works very well.

Dirk,

This flower pot painting is fantastic.  Not sure about the "impressionistic" part, as everything looks so realistic.  The flowers are so well done, I want to pick them.  Love the depth in your background.

I want to do that one as soon as I catch up on things.

Mea, if you zoom in on the flowers you can see there are only dashes of paint, no real details.

I really enjoyed this lesson.  Nice to know that you can make believable flowers without slaving over every petal.

I love the composition Nolan chose for this.


I know my door panels are not perfect, but I am proud of my pot (as symmetrical as I could get it); the flowers; and my cut stone pieces.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
