Nice work Vasu, the head shape and ears are very well done. The eye seems a bit to 'human' in shape, needs to be a bit rounder. Did you have a photo reference for this? If so, take a closer look at the shape.
This reminds me very much of my brother's old dog Merlin. Great job, you're improving every time.

Vasu, could you upload the original that you worked from so we can have a look at the eyes. I think the shape maybe okay. However, layering a few colors on the iris may give it more life. Seeing the original may help us to help you tweak it a little.

Vasu--This is so lovely. Great face and eyes. I love how you have used those sienna colors for the lights in the ears and the purples as well. Wonderful!

Hi Vasu, yes I can see what has happened. The inner corner of the eye needs to be a little bit lower, and give the upper lid a bit steeper angle to the top of the eye and give it almost a rounded peak at the top. Increase the angle of the upper lid just a tiny bit and this will take away the 'human' shape of the eye. The pupil needs to be smaller, pay close attention to the placement of the pupil and adjust the highlight.
I hope I explained that reasonably for you to understand, never seems to translate well when I write it down for others.
Perfect sense to me though!
If you can follow what I'm saying this will give you an excellent finished portrait of this dog.

Vasu,
I love this. Did not realize the eyes needed adjustment, but I can see what Val means now.
Amazing depth to the hair.
Keep going. This is super.

Vasu, what do you want to achieve with your your little dog? Do you want to achieve something close to the original or do you want to practice a more fun, whimsical way of using color pencils?
