Hi everyone,

This class came just in time. I like cats, so I might as well give it a try. I left my rendition for you to comment and crits please. Very interesting lesson, specially the eye construction.

Cheers

WOW!!!  Juan, your cat is FANTASTIC.  You have done a superb job.  It looks like a photograph and you must be very proud of your work. Frame it and hang it on your wall.

Juan carlos,

Lovely work on the cat.  I think the white circular patches around the nose need to be shaded a bit more around the edges so they do not stand out so much.

The eyes are so beautiful. Meow.

:heeha: Brilliant Juan! Yes, the eyes are fascinating the way they are built up. The eyes were my favourite part on the tiger as well. I'll get to this one..... sometime!

Very nicely done Juan Carlos    As Mea has spotted, just finish off the shading in the whites near the mouth to accentuate the rounding.

Juan:  Nice cat.  Just a little shadow in the white like Dennis said would make a big difference.  A little softening in the dark fur on the left side would be good. Kathy

I may be shooting myself before I'm done.... but I've decided to give this one a go.    The fur can't be as bad as the swan's feathers....can it?  :eyesclosed: Right then, off to the funny farm we go!  :heeha:

:thankyou:  Dennis for a lovely lesson.  I struggled with the eyes somewhat and could not apply more pastel to the right eye as it would not take it. However, I enjoyed the challenge.  Comments and critiques are always welcomed. Thank you.   Patricia
