WOW!!!  :heeha: That is brilliant Zilpa. I don't know that I would be brave enough to attempt those reflections in the calm water. Mirror image! Brilliant execution. I need another word here..... Banner! Banner job!  O0

Zilpa

As always you delight us with your creativity and attention to detail.

The glass-like look of the reflection on the still water is incredible.

You are the encaustic master!!!

:thankyou: Val and Mea, I must say, those moments throughout the painting process, where you think it is going all wrong and in the end it turns out, were a real nightmare for me in this one. Today I am starting on a smaller one 16"x 20". I am thinking a landscape looking through an old window. If it works, I might do it as a large one next.

WOW - those reflections are remarkable!! As is the painting! And I know that feeling well about a painting that's going wrong and then it turns out all right at the finale - lots of stomach aches along the way. But it's all worth it when it's done. Can't wait to see your next one!
Cheers,
Sharon

I decided to try my pyrowax on paper. So this is my first burning on paper. I was surprised that it actually takes longer than burning on wood.

Zilpa,

Looking good, but what kind of paper did you use?You are so daring; I admire that in you.

:thankyou: Mea, I am just using some paper out of a cheap sketch pad. By memory it is about 150 gsm. Now I see how it works I will use good paper next time. If  or when I do it again.
