It's beautiful Dirk :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
The best part is that it looks like you did paint every hair O0

I think youve done a great job on this cat painting Robynann.

I know nothing about oils so I am no expert other than what my eye sees. what disturbs me is the harshness of the tan and black on his right ear and I think if you lightened the tonal value slightly on the rounded part of his face on the left side  or soften the hairs/fur on the edge it may help a little, but otherwise its great in my eyes  O0

Robynann,

Love the depth in the eyes and the cute little nose.  Agree with Win about the ear, also the solid grey patch to the left of the ear needs more furry texture.

All in all, pretty darn good!

Robyn, if you look at Tracy and Dirk's paintings I think you'll get a better idea of what needs to be done. Just a couple of little fixes and this will be excellent!  :heeha:   You've got this one Robyn, no doubt.  O0

Neil, your cat looks pretty good to me, the only thing that worries me is .... looking at the picture, (the right side), under the mouth, the fur is rather full making it look lopsided. However, without seeing the original it is difficult to pass comments. Apart from that I think it is lovely.

Your cat painting looks really good, Neil. Great shine in those eyes.   Your friend is going to love it! If you could, it would really help to see the reference photo.
