Thank you Patricia! So glad I decided to try this class :). I know you'll be creating your sunflower in a few months and I look forward to seeing it! Hope you have as much fun as I did...
Glad you like the new avatar. Life is different, so time for a new pic too  ;)

Mea, thank you too! Yes, you have to try this one - go for it and post!
And yes, let's get Liz and meet up again. Maybe early February? Look forward to seeing you guys!

You always do your nice work, Denise!  I like the display stand; I use those for my Chinese platters in my China hutch.

I got a little ahead of myself on this one.  I should have played the video before starting as I did not have all the supplies.

I made some interesting substitutions - pop corn kernels for the pipe cleaners and flax seed for the beads.  Necessity was definitely the mother of invention for this one!

I see now all the ways I could have made this better, but it still was a fascinating lesson.

My fingers are quite clumsy when it comes to handling small things so it has a sort of hackneyed look to it.

But, I like it, I really do.    Thanks, Nolan.  Cool, cool!!

Mea, what a great idea to use the corn and the flax seeds.  It looks wonderful.

  very well done.

Hi Liz, thank you! I was lucky to have that stand just sitting around and finally put it to use  :)

Mea, I love your sunflower! Flaxseeds and kernals, how perfect is that? Beautiful work.
I just got my seashells and "sand" from Ben Franklin today. Felt a little silly buying those supplies and living in HI  :P

Mahalo, Denise.  The sunflower was fun.  Will work on the seascape in the next few days.  Hopefully, I can "shop" on the beach near my house for the shells and sand.  Maybe I'll substitute beach glass for the shells.  They are hard to come by "in the wild."

Thanks, Annie.  Lucky I like pop corn and flax seed.  They seemed perfect for that use.

    Mea, it is BEAUTIFUL and the fact that you had to substitute a few things, just makes it all the more interesting and creative.  Great job.  Can't wait for April when I will be able to have a go at it.

Thanks, Patricia and Danielle.  Was nice to work on something totally different than I had ever done.  Real skill builder lessons.

Mea,
If you think finding seashells and sand is hard to come by in the wild... try on the attached photo.

Annie look what we have here in gatineau/Ottawa on Christmas eve. Never seen before 16 degrees and very windy,
But MEA will not find sheels here.
Merry Christmas to all.
