Fiona, you always give us something lovely to look at! I love the highlights on the flowers and the sunlit pasture! The colors are beautiful! The one thing that keeps drawing my attention is the cloud behind the tree. It gives the appearance of outlining the tree instead of being behind it. It may just be me, though! Regardless, it is a beautiful painting!!!!

Fiona,
What struck me first about this painting is the true depth of it. I can feel the distance from the foreground to the far mountains.
I agree with Christina about the cloud over the tree. Not sure the best way to fix it, though. Maybe darken the tree?
Might have been better to have had a cluster of two or three sheep at some point rather than all separate. Or is that how sheep work - in solitude???
Regardless, you did another one of your exceptionally good paintings.

This is so beautiful Fiona, love the colours, depth, and I agree with Christina on the cloud.

It's lovely, Fiona. Perhaps you could just extend (and maybe dull the color) of the cloud--a little farther to the right?

Thank you ladies for your kind comments and suggestions, much appreciated
Looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes, I can see what you mean by the cloud behind the tree, I added the clouds before I did the tree and didn't plan accordingly! Fortunately that is an easy fix and I will add a few more sheep as well, you can never have too many fluffy blobs on a painting
Will post an updated version when I've done the changes.
Thank you all once again.
Cheers

Here we go, this is the revised version

Beautifully done, Fiona
Only one thing worries me - that long light stripe between the tree and the right hand clump of trees. I just feel that the very distant hill should also fill that space.

Nice work, Fiona. Looks like you have tweaked it to the point where it's ready for the mat.
