My first attempt at following a class in Arylic was the strawberry, this is my second attempt, I did it on watercolour paper and not canvas so was unable to get the background right and the blending did not go to plan, actually a lot didnt go to plan.
I have used acrylics for painting many times before but normally only smaller detailed work, so this was a challange.

I think it is very pretty, Win. I don't know what it was supposed to look like for the lesson but your finished painting is lovely, bright and colorful.

The flower itself is well done. Agree that the paper did not lend itself to a smoothly blended background. But, the textured look of it is not all that bad really.

Mea and Nolan for your imput. I shall try darken the background Nolan, hopefully it will do the trick or else this painting will land up in the box of not so goods,

This was a challenge for getting the type of blending I wanted. Anyone tried this flower in oils?
