 Awesome, Barry.  :congrats: Yes, I like the apple too! Nice rich color and the highlight makes it look like very shiny. I really want to work with colored and water color pencils at some point!   :)

Nice apple, Barry.

Is the blue circle a beautiful marble or a fancy soccer ball?

Thanks everyone. Mea, I guess that's the point, if ya can't tell what it is.....

It is suppose to be a marble, and that other "thing" is suppose to be a nectarine, but looks like a pumpkin to me!

I have to admit that i was not trying to be carful drawing, just trying to get a nack for mixing the colors. This is devilishly hard.

Barry,

As long as we improve with each attempt, that's all that counts.

If I were to mistake the marble for an ice cream cone, then you would have been in trouble.

Just keep doing what you are doing because it is working!

   Your apple and marble are very nice,  I wouls darken the wright side of them both to give it more rounding and at this point you can put a bit more pressure on them.  Your shadows a bit darker at the base and fading away.     For the orange I would make the bottom rounder so it ca sit on the surface.  Have fun.     The more you blend the better it gets.  Hope this helps.

Great job on that apple, Barry! Danielle has offered some good suggestions. Because colored pencil work is soooo slow, I find that this offers the opportunity to really focus on what I see, rather than my preconceived idea of the object. (I tend to lose that focus when painting watercolor.)

I look forward to seeing more of your CP paintings.
