This was quick and fun.
Watercolor, acrylics, metallic ink and mica powder.

Very interesting effect!  I love your choice of colours.

It looks like canvas.  But can one paint WC on canvas?

Denise

You are really branching out with your style.

Love the soft blending of the pinks.  The golds really give it some zing.

Good for you, girl.

    Very interesting Denise.  Metallic ink?  I haven't heard of that medium and it sounds like something I would like to try.

Thank you ladies  :)

Annie, it's not common for watercolour to be painted on canvas but it worked for this project as it's so small.

Patricia, the inks can be found in craft and art stores. Actually it's called iridescent and not metallic. Having fun experimenting with it.

I'm participating in the "100 Day Project" which will keep me accountable for 100 days in a row of doing something/anything! creative. I'm on day 16 and have done more than I normally would. I'm using it as a tool to help change my priorities and having art be among the top few. Hmm, wonder what will I do today....

:heeha: Very creative Denise!

Annie you can get canvas that is treated for w/c, I know of an artist who uses acrylic gesso on canvas and paints with w/c.  O0

Denise,

Distinctive style.  Nice colors.

Has a sense of adventure.  Sort of a cosmic background.

Good work - love when you do fun pieces.
