I purchased a acrylic course for my wife who is just getting started in painting. As I watched the classes with her I also decided to try my luck at this new medium for me. I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil and liked to do women portraits in pencil. ink and oils. This medium has been an interesting challenge and I am working on a Grisaille layer painting that I hope to post in the near future.

:welcome: Welcome Marty to the Paint Basket forum. This is a wonderful and supportive group of people. I've been a member for about a month now and am amazed at what Dennis and Nolan teach. As a new artist, I am drawing things I never imagined possible.  The members are so helpful and kind.  How fun that you got your wife started here and then came on board as well.   I look forward to seeing your work . :painting:

 :welcome:  abord Marty!

You are in for a wonderful educational and friendly experience.  Looking forward to see your and your wife's paintings.  Don't be shy.  When I started, it took me 6 months to post my first drawing and painting... it was my lost.  PB members were kind, helpfull and very supportive.

Have fun  :painting:
