  • It's finally someday!
on: February 25, 2016, 03:33:47 AM
Hello from California - I ran across Nolan's YouTube lesson on painting in Acrylics this past weekend. That great video led me to the Paint Basket site and now I have purchased the Learn to Draw course. I figured that it was best to start from square one. I retired a few years ago to care for my elderly mother but sadly lost her last June. Now I suppose it is time for me to get to all of the things that I have been putting off for "someday". Learning to draw and paint for my own enjoyment is one of those things, so nice to have fellows from all over the world here, looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to PB Dekay.  The "let's draw" course is a great course.  I'm certain you will thoroughly enjoy learning to draw this way.  Dennis and Nolan are wonderful teachers and you will have the support of a friendly and encouraging membership.  Looking forward to watching you progress.

Welcome to PB.  Many of us have similar stories to yours.  The Let's Draw course is such a great place to start.

We look forward to seeing your progress.  Never hesitate to ask a question.  It's probably one we all had at one time.

:welcome: Welcome Dekay. I am from California too!  I'm sorry about the passing of your mother. I lost my mom two years ago.

You are going to love PB. This is a warm and kind learning environment. I am a little over half way through the "Lets Draw" course.  I love it.  I am looking forward to seeing your work.

:welcome: aboard, Dekay!

I'm also taking the beginner's drawing course and, like you, didn't start until I hung up my spurs.

You'll have a wonderful time here. Everyone's so supporting.

Starting from scratch is a good idea.  It is always good to refresh our brain.   Nolan and Dennis are great teachers.
