Good for you Mea for getting outside.  It can be fun, no?  I love the group's name.  Mea, so kind of you to put Grandpa in the WOW factor section of the newsletter.  He would be pleased ;D .  Another good newsletter from you.  Wish there was a thread dedicated to the newsletter.  Just a thought.

Thanks, Lynn.  Wish I were free on Wednesdays to go out with that group.

Grampa deserved to be featured.  Your work is so good.

There is a Newsletter topic in the ANNOUNCEMENTS section.  Are you thinking something more specific?

Honolulu Country Club "Tropical Trades" Exhibit

Those are two of my "pennypoint" drawings.  I put three coats of gesso (should have used 5) on mat board, then scratched a penny on the surface like I would a pencil.  The copper from the penny makes the picture!

I am the only person that anyone seems to know who is doing this type of drawing in Honolulu.

Thank you to fellow PB-er Liz Au and her husband Wyman for attending.  I plan to include quotes from them in my newspaper column that I am writing about the show.

Thanks, Linley and Mary Lou.

Had another reception tonight.  Association of Hawaii Artists Aloha Show at Honolulu Hale (City Hall).

This was another one of my "penny"point drawings.

Thanks, Zilpa.  My penny drawings may have just been a phase.  Can't get excited about doing more right now.

Will set up these three watercolor paintings in the Honolulu Country Club "Shades of Spring" exhibit on Sunday.  The show will stay up until May 20.  The horizon line looks tilted in this photo but is not in the painting.
