Lacework is too fine, so I went for the next best and pretended it was lace, because I had mislaid my magnifying glass and the 2-hair brush :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

This was actually a very relaxing lesson - and a great idea of something unique to paint! Hardest part was tracing it on the watercolor paper! Thanks, Dennis - I actually learned a lot in this class!
Cheers,
Sharon

OMG, Sharon.  That's beautifully done.  And in watercolor - what a challenge!

I was looking at that lesson and thinking I couldn't do that!   Hmmm... maybe I will try it.

Embroidery is the proper term for that type of handiwork, I think.

Thank you Steve, Dennis, Susan and Mea! My husband says it reminds him of his mother's doilies! I want to look around for some similar material to try a painting like this on my own!
Cheers,
Sharon

Thanks Kathy! I showed this to a friend and she said it's very spiritual - a bit like a Mandela!
Cheers,

I can see why your friend would say that. I agree. As you stated on OLA, it was the most relaxing class you ever took. That shows in your painting. It is peaceful.
