You must have me confused with someone else. I did a pea pod.

Unless you are talking about the RABBIT I posted in a different topic.  That wasn't a lion either.

Heehee... maybe I had better send back my second place ribbon!

:2funny: The rabbit that roared! Too funny Mea   :2funny:

Love your little pea pod.

Mea:  The lion was posted on Aug 19th.  Must have missed the pea.  You are very cleaver in picking your subject and titles.

KathyKuz,
I went back and checked.  The LION is not my painting.  I knew I had never painted a lion.  It must have been one of the mixed up ones back when we had the glitch!!  Funny to find it so many months later.

Wish it were mine.  It's really good.

Mystery solved.

Well one could say those peas are "lioning" on the table!! Love the title of this painting! I think I would have less darkness on the top of the pea pod - but otherwise I think it's cute!
Cheers,
Sharon

Thanks, Sharon.  Hee hee - "lioning" on the table.  Cute.

I like the title but the piece is only 4 x 6 inches, so I will do it up much larger and make the top lighter as you suggest.  I think I can make it look a lot better if it is bigger.

Here comes summer.  Totally freehand.  Arteza watercolor paints on hemp paper.

Thanks, Patricia.  I feel that I have turned a corner and can now attempt things that I thought I'd never be able to do.

Hope to make a series of hydrangea in bloom.   I dropped watercolor on wet paper, then inked in the shapes.

All suggestions for improvement greatly appreciated. Oh, the pink background is not my doing - somehow it was the camera and the nighttime lighting that did it for me, but I like it.

Hi Mea.... I've been having trouble connecting which is why I haven't commented before now, but Nolan has fixed it now. Love these practice pieces. I guess peaches would be an imported exotic fruit for you, wouldn't they?

Thanks, Linley.  So good to have you back.  I miss your unique sense of humor.

I love doing little practice pieces.  Those that turn out good are either matted for gifts or cut up to make greeting cards.

Yup, so many foods have to be imported here, or all we would eat would be mangoes, papaya, and banana.  Even most of the pineapple is imported now.

I love hydrangeas and this is great.  I like the looseness of this and then the added ink.

Thanks, Mary Lou.  I have painted four more but they are not as good as this first one.
