Patricia your painting is lovely  :)  Well done!

And here is my version of the class - what a challenge!!  Thank you Dennis for keeping me on my toes! I thought I was going to suffer from repetitive strain injury with all those trees!  :2funny:

As always comments, crits and suggestions are welcome

Cheers

 This is a beautiful painting, Fi. I love the detail of the trees and the ground underneath.  :smitten: Gorgeous!  :yippee:  I'm wondering if the orange reflection is a bit to bright, or maybe to solid. The orange trees are lighter and variegated.

Fi,

Your autumn painting is lovely.

My only concern is that the orange reflections seem brighter than the trees they reflect.  I guess KathyS and I have the same thought - just read what she wrote.

Very good painting, Fiona    You had good practice painting trees :2funny:

The reflections are OK. Normally light object appear slightly darker in the water and darker objects normally appear lighter. IOW, water averages out the tonal ranges.

:thankyou: Dennis. Good to know. I was not aware.

 Fi, ignore my comment about reflections.  I was incorrect.

Val, I am with you there for all these short forms befuddle my brain. Having said that, I worked out what 'IOW' stands for ... which is "in other words".  I thought I was a genius for having worked that one out.   :2funny: :2funny:

Val, I get such a kick out of your humour.  You had me screaming with laughter yesterday again where in some message you said something to the effect that your memory was good but your recall a problem. Well, that tickled me to no end.  Keep it up, I just love it.  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
