Thank you Patricia, Retta and Gita.

Gita, Wow, look at the weathered wood you did, it looks so realistic! Wonderful job! :smitten: :yippee: :yippee:

:heeha: Marylou, Your dove in the window is fabulous. I really like the colors of the window reflections and your weathered paint looks great.  :yippee:

:heeha: Beautiful work Gita. Your love for watercolor shows. I like that you made this painting your own. Your voice is heard as you gave your dove a mate.  O0

Lovely work from each of you. Both unique and lovely.

Somehow I let this thread get ahead of me.

Mary Lou, yours looks great - especially the window - love the blue/green in the panes.

Gita - wowzer, girl.  You are getting really good.

:painting:http://Thank you so much Marylou, Kathy and Mea. This appreciation is so motivating!

I thought I shall enhance the doves a bit and used Gouache. This is the result. I find this combination of W/C and Gouache so wonderful.  So this has become a mixed media work. I hope its ok to put this in this class, Dennis.

O0 Oh yes, Gita, the birds stand out very nicely.   I haven't played with gouache yet. I understand it is more of an opaque paint. I may have to look into it and give it a try.  :painting:

Gita...that really brought the doves out.  They look awesome, and your shadows are great.
Nice painting.

Naughty, naughty, using gouache, or anyone else for that matter . These are watercolour classes. When I look at the paintings I look for watercolour techniques, and if they are being applied correctly :flowers:

I don't mind gouache being used outside of the actual class lessons O0

;D Both are beautiful paintings Gita.... BUT... when Dennis says 'excellent', that's your cue to not touch it in any way, shape or form!    You got off lucky... I got the  :knuppel2: for attempting to 'improve' one of mine!  ::) It didn't go so well!  :2funny:
