:D I like it Val! This looks like it was fun to paint. I'd love to try a live class someday.

Good job, Val.  Love the water, and, brrr....it does look cold!  I haven't seen this one either, but I'm not in the other classes. I sure miss our 'live' classes. They were so great, and it really brought us together.  Good times.
Congrats on your pic, and glad it was fun. That's the name of the game.

Thanks Kathy, it was crazy  :D and fun! I have such a blast trying to follow Dennis, and my trusty pal Nolan filling in my questions when I miss a bit. Of course since I get behind so quickly I also like to have a bit of a chat now and again in between painting. Everyone that is in the class will usually fill in what colour you missed so all very congenial and fun.  :yippee:

I don't know how it works, must be all the extra adrenaline flowing that as Lloyd puts it, I get a bit potty ... laughing and talking to myself...and Dennis, and yelling at Nolan for help... pastel dust flying, and if w/c is involved....  well you'd best get your mack on or duck! :attacked:   and all of this going on   :D while I'm painting!  :2funny:

Now here's the really odd bit.... I seem to absorb more with all of this going on, rather than when I'm calmly sitting watching the prerecorded lessons! I was much the same in premed !  Now doesn't that scare you?!

If you get the chance, hop on over and just sit in if you like. I try to see every one even if it's not my medium. I tend to pick up little tips and tricks that I can often use in my other mediums. I can't recommend them highly enough.  O0     :yippee:

Ok, I'm done.

Ta much Bella, it was such fun. I think I'll have another go at this with the replay. I know I missed a lot of bits...like on that poor fellow on the board. He has no face, looks like his arms are joined to the elbows, has elephantitis in his hands, and he's got a cast on his forward leg!  :injured: And you wonder why I hesitate to put humans in my paintings!?!  :2funny:

 Val u did really well..without no photo reference !Mine still stands at 10 mins into class...waiting for the replay!

I am so glad I am not the only one! I am totally motivated in the live classes and end up finishing artwork much more quicker than I would  watching Nolan, ...at my own pace!! :)
The reason I don't mind staying up at unearthly hours to watch the live ones! Unfortunately
for me I got only a few live classes before it stopped.
Howeve I am so glad Dennis and Nolan doing the new ones at OAL!

Very well done Val. The colors of the ocean and shadows on the wave are excellent.  :yippee:

Zayn, I think with the live classes I get an extra boost of adrenaline or something,  :run: whatever it is it gets me moving!  :2funny:

I wouldn't recommend using my painting as a guide, I know I've missed out all sorts of details. I'm just thrilled I actually completed it within a few days. A new speed record!  :D

Here's what I ended up with!

Great fun, powder all over, very colourful....I did mention a riot of colour!  :2funny:

I didn't get as far as reflections, but learned that I need a LOT more practice!   :thankyou: Dennis & Nolan.
