Beautiful Scarlet Macaw!  :smitten: I just love the large parrots .... well all of the parrots actually. I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to see these gorgeous birds in the wild.

Great capture of this one with all his glorious colours. Great work Ray.  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Cheers, Val

Thank you Val and Win for your comments this Macaw was actually on its handlers arm when the picture was taken so it was a tame one but it must be wonderful to watch them flying wild

Nice work, Ray.  The parrot has dazzle and pizazz!

I find colored pencils clumsy to work with, but you have used them brilliantly on this.

:heeha: Wow! The depth of color in your macaw is brilliant. I'd have never guessed this was done in colored pencil. Amazing!

:thankyou:  Mea and Kathy for your kind comments they are much appreciated and coloured pencils are wonderful to work with but the secret to getting a brillant depth of colour is to have sharp points on your pencil  Ray
