Parrot sitting on a Branch

Hi this is a drawing i did following some instruction from a chap in the UK is name is Bob i hope you like it its been some time since i last posted but its nice to be back with friends
Details
in was done in Prismacolor pencils on Bristol paper

Beautiful Scarlet Macaw!
I just love the large parrots .... well all of the parrots actually. I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to see these gorgeous birds in the wild.
Great capture of this one with all his glorious colours. Great work Ray.

Thank you Val and Win for your comments this Macaw was actually on its handlers arm when the picture was taken so it was a tame one but it must be wonderful to watch them flying wild

Nice work, Ray. The parrot has dazzle and pizazz!
I find colored pencils clumsy to work with, but you have used them brilliantly on this.

Wow! The depth of color in your macaw is brilliant. I'd have never guessed this was done in colored pencil. Amazing!

Mea and Kathy for your kind comments they are much appreciated and coloured pencils are wonderful to work with but the secret to getting a brillant depth of colour is to have sharp points on your pencil Ray
