My Senior Art Class did great work today. We painted in gouache on Oriental fans. My suggestions was cherry blossoms, but many of them felt confident enough to try their own ideas and did some creative work. They make me so happy.

Today we painted on sandpaper (150 grit) using oil pastels and Arteza hair chalk. Then we crinkled wax paper and used spray adhesive to adhere it onto the sandpaper. Nice effect. Finished pieces were made into greeting cards.
I was so happy to see the seniors go off in different directions with this. Each one was unique. Many of them did far better than me.
My class keeps getting bigger.

Thanks Gita and Nolan.
I had four new people in the group today, and they got right into it. It is so much fun to work with this group of people.

Today my seniors were adventurous and tried their first line and wash. They did very well and seemed to really enjoy it. My demos seemed to have more wash than line in the group photo. Here are my demo paintings in a closer view, too.

UPDATE: Hope to fill my prescription for new glasses tomorrow. It's been more than 3 months now using just one eye. Enough already.

Good luck with your glasses Mea. I hope you are able to see with both eyes again.
Your line wash is great. You have the happiest group!
