Please forgive me, I'm a newbie and don't know what sequence to follow, that is what video follows the Let's Draw Course Instructions.
I picked pencil drawing as my first encounter with art. I'm retired and want a meaningful hobby to enrich my life. So I bought a set of pencils and some paper; I viewed the first video and I feel good about it. I really enjoyed the pace and the clear instructions; think I can follow.
Thank You

Hi' Nolan, I may be in the wrong forum. I think I joined the pencil drawing club, so that may be a totally different thing. I don't know. The video I viewed was Getting Started with Pencils What do I do to do the Let's Draw Course ?

Hi Luci

Yes you are a pencil club member. The Lets Draw is a separate course, which is unfortunately not part of the club and is a separate purchase.

What you want to do is go to the Classes > Pencil Drawing > Lesson Plan menu
Then follow the classes underneath the Getting started with pencil drawing. Follow them in their order to get the best results. O0
eg do the pencil shading techniques class next, then the how to draw onions class, etc.

Hello Nolan, I am unable to download, I only require notes as I have the DVD's, would I be able to purchase a DVD with notes only for Lets Draw Pencil course, I am not computer literate, and feeling very frustrated with myself.
Hoping you can help me.

I ordered the Drawing Course 12-30-14 and have an order and confirmation number, but I see VIEW CART.
How do I gain access to the course?  Thank you,
~Liz

Liz you should have access now, please check under your MyClasses

Diane the notes are on DVD 5. Insert the DVD into your computer. Then use your file explorer to go to the notes folder. All the manuals and handouts are located there. Let me know if you have any hassles

Hi Nolan, Thanks again for mailing the DVD.  I have been listening to the first few videos.  As you know, I was in the Drawing Club which I enjoyed and learned so much from you and Dennis.  So now I'm in the Let's Draw Course.  I have a question about the landscape drawing:

I noticed that you fill in the graphite for all the mountains, then go back and erase for the highlights.

Is this technique easier than using a lighter pencil for highlights areas and doing less erasing?

I do know that erasures like the lighthouse with fields of flowers worked out better when the graphite filled in quite heavy, then the flowers stood out when erasing.  Anyway, waiting for your reply. . . THANKS!
~Liz

you could do it either way, this was just a way to get a feel for the pencils as well as the eraser O0

:thankyou: , NOLAN!  I'll try drawing with the eraser, too.  I just started on the berries today.  :)  Thanks again for all you do!

Quick question. Nolan, am I able to download any of the classes that I have taken so far? Or do I have only an online account?
