If you go to the forum home page, there is a section called Lets Draw Pencil Course, click that and then create yourself a new topic. From there you can post your questions  O0

To add a smiley, just click it. In the box you are typing a code will appear and not the actual smiley picture. This is the smiley code. When people view the post, the forum software will replace this code with the picture smiley  O0

Nolan--I have watched your video and read the instructions here on how to place downloads in a desktop file.  I was successful in creating a desktop file for the drawing course and in downloading lessons, but can't drag a download to the file.  I am running OS X and have a macbook pro.  Any ideas?

Nolan -

I was going to purchase the Let's Draw course today and I wanted to get the complete one....however, in looking at all the things you have to do in order to access it, I really don't know how to do these things (like create folders, store on C drives, etc.  I am totally and profoundly technically challenged so for someone like me, which of the other 3 is the best option?  I so wish I could do the one I really want but I can tell I'll never figure it out.  I would really appreciate your advice.   :thankyou:

Mary, I had a little trouble but finally figured it out. Is there anyone within your household or close by who can help you create the folder, etc.?  That would be the easiest.  However, maybe Nolan can help you..  I would try, but I sometimes seem to take the long way around things   I'm sure there are lots of sharp computer skilled techies out there somewhere.  Somebody  :help: Mary!

Polliwag - The general skill level in this house is texting and I'd probably have to text THEM (which I also haven't mastered  lol) but maybe I can beg my older son to help his poor mother navigate the occult world folders, drives, etc.  Now it's just catching him...and wanna laugh?  He's a computer engineer!  I COULDN'T have been his mother!  :2funny:

Mary - I had to laugh at your description of the realm of folders, etc.  My son is also a Mechanical Enigineer with a Masters Degree in some sort of computing field!  I don't even know enough to know exactly what he does - Loadable Software for Boeing Airplanes, but that's about all I know!  And, when he's not working, he really doens't want anything more to do with computers!!  IF I pin him down, he will spend HOURS and HOURS working on a problem until he figures it out!  I hate to do that to him!  But, being that he learned from my dad, and I did also, I'm pretty computer literate in the things I NEED to know!  My dad telecomuted in the mid '80's when most people didn't even own a computer, so my son got his interest and knowlege from him.

As for the Drawing Course, I got the DVDs so I didn't have to worry about an intrnet connection.  All I have to do is put in the DVD for the day I want.  Of course, then I had problems making the souind work!  I think you could figure out the folders, though.  Once it's set up, it would be fine, and I know you'd get lots of help here!  Whatever you decide, the course is FUN!  I've just got started, and can hardly wait to get to the next lessons.

Hysterical, Pat!  My personal favorite was when my favorite Bose speakers were "broken," I asked for assistance and was told they were dead.  A few weeks later, I ventured into his apartment and lo and behold...guess what his music was playing on!  When I had laptops, he only "knew" pcs...when I got a pc, he only knew laptops!  So, this is why I don't even bother to ask!  I could PAINT a computer faster than I'd get a consult!   :2funny:

Mary the online course has video instructions that show you how to install the menu, so you just follow along with the video.

As an aside, the Lets Draw course will soon be moving over to the Paint Basket TV page, so those that have the online course will always have access to the classes through the website as well O0

Mary -  :2funny:  I know what you mean!  I'll pay someone rather than wait to find time for my son to help me!  He's really great, but I know he'd rather be doing something else with his free time!  Plus, he wants to tell me everything about everything, and my brain is just to full (no - NOT OLD) to hold all that information!  I just want it to work, I don't really care how!  I guess I used to want to know "how and why", but it just changes way too fast for me to keep up with it any more!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having you "in class" with us other Let's Draw students!

Well, Nolan, on THAT note, I think I'll just go for the gold and get the one I really wanted....but I only wish you could see me laughing when you calmly say "just follow along"... :2funny:  It's really really really bad here cuz my mind is shot on TOP of the techno-challenge awaiting me BUT you've rescued me before so I will have faith!  Going shopping!  LOL
