Mary -  :2funny:  I know what you mean!  I'll pay someone rather than wait to find time for my son to help me!  He's really great, but I know he'd rather be doing something else with his free time!  Plus, he wants to tell me everything about everything, and my brain is just to full (no - NOT OLD) to hold all that information!  I just want it to work, I don't really care how!  I guess I used to want to know "how and why", but it just changes way too fast for me to keep up with it any more!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having you "in class" with us other Let's Draw students!

-Pat

Let's HOPE I'm in class with you...I'm going to be a big girl and try the online course and I might be floating out in cyberspace the next time you see me!  :2funny:

Mary - if you do the online class, and keep up at the rate of 1/day, you're going to fly right by me!!  I'm doing it the SLOW way!  But at least I'll get to see your drawing when you post them!  HAVE FUN!

Pat - That's the one I got - the online version.  You see, I don't really have enough to do yet with being behind 3 watercolors and 2 oils yet...so I did the logical thing...put MORE pressure on myself!  Fortunately, it hasn't arrived yet because if it did, I'd probably be scribbling and drooling in a corner because I'd HAVE to start it!  And this should REALLY be good because I can't draw my way out of a paper bag!  I'm really starting to wonder about myself... :2funny:

hmm, that should have activated for you instantly Mary  :-\

Anyhow I have added you to the course manually, you click the palette icon in the top orange box to access the course.
Let me know if the emails are arriving okay every day.

Have fun and thanks for the support  :flowers:

Thank you, Nolan....

I have still not received it but I was just about to write about email in general.  It's not just this.  As of yesterday, I'm suddenly not getting any mail from PB - the kind that notifies you that there's a reply in a post you're following.  I did, however, get the receipt for the course.  I didn't get the message alerts either re yesterday's class so I've been going directly to the site to read.

What I've done so far is check my settings here which are normal.  I've checked my spam folder and nothing's there as well.  To the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed on my computer in terms of settings or anything new that might influence mail so that's what I was going to tell you which would explain why I didn't get the course yet.  I don't know how to fix it beyond those checks I've already done.  Stumped  (and I haven't even started the class!  LOL)  Computers are not my friends!

Nolan...not two seconds after hitting send with my last message to you, I just received ALL the mail from PB yesterday, including the class notification.  The Let's Draw course was not among them and it looks like everything came in sequential order.  I have no idea why that is.  I can't rule out that it's not an AOL issue because they're notorious for problems.  Otherwise, I just don't know.

Sorry for the multiple posts, Nolan, but just trying to add more clues....something new that's happening as of this huge batch of mail I just received is that the forum topics are including mine....for example, I just wrote the below to you and I received it in a forum notification that a reply had been posted in a topic I was following but it was my reply.  That's never happened before as they always start with the last reply I saw on a particular board so I don't know whether this is new or something off happening here.

:heeha:  Whoa... and I thought I had problems! Ok Mary...what did you do to the thingy in the gadget box?   :2funny:  Sounds like you have an AOL problem or a virus.     How are you feeling?      >:D
What a nuisance. I had a similar problem with hotmail a while ago. I say it seems fine now, but.......?   ::)

it is a problem on your ISP side by the sounds of it, our emails are going out, so you need to chat to them unfortunately (or fortunately from my perspective  ;D )

Just to double check - you are able to access the course correctly by clicking the palette icon in the top orange box?

I am, Nolan...and absolutely thrilled!  I even got to print out the PDFs up to day 3 which I now have.  The day got away from me but I was able to watch 4 videos and read the first lesson as well.  What an amazing body of work here.  I'm in complete awe of your amazing talent and abilities to educate.

Day 3 came through email and was the only thing I got for the day oddly.  I'm going to get rid of aol and go to gmail in the next day or two..this was the last straw with them...NO ONE must interfere with Paint Basket!

Thank you so much for your always generous help.

Mary  :twothumbs:  You must be screaming EUREKA!

You're going to love the drawing course!
