How to Paint Dramatic Clouds in Watercolour

Dramatic clouds help to bring mood and mystery to the story you are telling in your paintings. You have to get the viewer excited and attracted to your painting, for example, they feel the tenseness of a sailing ship fighting a storm, or a windswept tree bending under the strain of high winds. Depending on your subject, even dramatic clouds can bring about a feeling of peace and serenity.
