Class Description

In this class we will paint an abandoned shed in a loose flowing style. I will be painting in acrylic but you are welcome to follow along in another medium.

During the class you will learn:

  1. how to paint a simplified field in the distance
  2. how to paint old wood / planks
  3. how to paint a rusty corrugated iron effect
  4. how to show reflective, broken glass
  5. how to paint grass
  6. and many more texture effects…

For the class you will need:

1) Canvas – I am using a 18″ x 14″ (46cm x 36cm)
2) Paints – I used these colours – Cerulean Blue, Titanium White, Sap Green, Paynes Grey, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Orange, Phtalo Green, Permanent Green Light, Cadmium Red, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber.
3) Set of bristle brushes
4) 1″ or 2″ hardware brush (chip brush)
5) 1cm Soft filbert
6) Finer liner or rigger
7) Painting knife
8) Masking tape

Do not transfer anything to the canvas, we will do that in class.
